Description

Tourism is often celebrated as a source of happiness for travelers, providing unique experiences, cultural discovery, and personal enrichment. It also generates economic opportunities and innovation for businesses. However, for local communities, rapid tourism growth can bring mixed consequences, including overcrowding, environmental pressure, and challenges to cultural integrity. The theme of SEAMA 2026, “Happiness and Well-being for Tourists, Local Communities, and Tourism Businesses – Towards a Balanced Co-existence inTourism,” seeks to explore how tourism can evolve into a force that enhances the well-beingof all stakeholders. This conference calls upon scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to examine practical models, empirical research, and innovative strategies that balance economic vitality with social harmony, cultural preservation, and environmental sustainability. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, SEAMA 2026 aims to identify pathways towards a more balanced and inclusive tourism future where Happiness and Well-being are genuinely shared among tourists, residents, and enterprises.
